Chartered Financial Planner
Director
James has 17 years’ experience in the UK financial services industry. He started his professional career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1993, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Much of his time there was spent advising corporate clients on how to restructure their businesses.
In 1999 James’ interest in personal investment matters led him to a leading firm of private client stockbrokers and investment advisers, based in central London. He opened the firm’s first branch outside the M25 in 2001 and by the time he left in 2005 he was responsible for £60m of client assets.
During his time as a stockbroker, James became increasingly aware of the importance of advising his clients on all aspects their personal financial affairs, rather than just concentrating on their investment portfolios. It is for this reason that he studied for the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification, which he was awarded at the end of 2004.
James is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, a Fellow of the Securities Institute, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional and member of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He joined Evolve in 2005 in order to make use his investment expertise and other financial planning abilities in a professional, transparent and fee-based environment. He was awarded coveted Chartered Financial Planner status at the end of 2005. Due to his wide range of expertise, James is regularly asked to comment in the quality financial press.
